The Cesspool of Corruption that is the Obama Administration

They couldn't possibly be dirtier!

The House panel has decided to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt by a vote of 23-17 for not surrendering documents requested in the Fast and Furious investigation led by  Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Darrell Issa, R-Calif.  The resolution now takes a trip to the house floor and John Boehner is stating it will be voted on by next week.

Now the depressing part.  First of all, you and I both know this was fully expected to come to fruition.  I believe Holder and the President have decided this is a much less damaging move than to release documents that could potentially hurt Obama in the November election.

On Fox News today, Jay Sekulow with the American Center for Law and Justice mentioned this could be tied up in the system for a lengthy amount of time.  Given the right path it could lead to the Supreme Court he commented.  And we all know how long that could take.

These are the options that could possibly happen.

First option: The leaders in the House could have the sergeant-at-arms arrest and place Holder in prison until he complies with the requests.  That’s not going to happen.

Second option:  According to CQ, “would be to ask the Justice Department to prosecute its own attorney general. Under an 1857 statute that Issa has invoked in a draft contempt citation he has circulated in his committee, Holder would be subject to a misdemeanor prosecution, a fine of up to $1,000 and imprisonment of up to 12 months. The Justice Department, however, is unlikely to agree to prosecute its leader.”

Third option: The House Republicans would be to file a civil lawsuit against Holder, at which point Holder could also claim executive privilege.

Now, we need to focus on “executive privilege” for a minute.  The President today invoked his Executive Privilege concerning the Fast and Furious investigation.  Any body wonder why he did that?  Bueller?  Bueller?

If this “transparent” President hide nothing to hide he would hide nothing.

We are NOT stupid! We understand the President knew about this, the Attorney General kept the President informed of it.  They both have lied and those documents would show it.

But they are playing their hand with House Republicans and continuing their ridiculous “stonewalling”.

“He’s been stonewalling Congress for 16 months” said Rep. Paul Ryan. “What’ embarrassing is fast and furious” in repsonse to Neil Covuto asking Rep. Ryan if this was just to embarrass the White House.

This isn’t about politics, THIS is about people dying at the hands of a decision made by our Government.  WE don’t just want to see someone burn, we want a Government and Executive Branch that is corruption free.  This is the most corrupt Presidency and administration I think this country has ever seen.

And don’t you dare tell me Nixon was more corrupt, NO ONE DIED IN WATERGATE!

“They are fishing for documents they have no right to.” said resident Democrat Bob Beckel on The Five on Fox News.  Since when did the American people not have a right to documents that is causing the deaths of Americans and the deaths of Mexican citizens.

What’s corrupt is keeping documents from the American people we have a right to use in order to investigate a crime.  We have a right for Eric Holder to be held accountable.  He lies so blatantly it’s a direct slap in the face of every American citizen.

We have a right to have a President who doesn’t lie to us.

Brian Terry’s family has a right to see those accountable to be brought to justice.  The more they lie, the more they hide, the more they treat us like we are stupid the harder they are going to fall.
